At Financial Beginnings, volunteers bring our programming to life.
Volunteer with us for a fulfilling experience.

Understanding personal finance fundamentals is a key component of adulthood. Yet most high school students graduate without the requisite knowledge to effectively navigate the financial world. One of the greatest investments one can make is empowering others to take control of their financial futures--we invite you to join our growing team of volunteers!

Financial Beginnings provides no-cost financial education programming to schools and non-profit organizations, offering much-needed lessons on budgeting, banking, taxes, financing college, credit, investing, and more. But what sets us apart are the volunteers who engage program participants with their personal and professional life experiences. Volunteers serve as positive role models, adding richness to individuals' learning.

We provide everything you need to become a volunteer and effectively deliver personal finance lessons.

As a volunteer, you're supported every step of the way, from curriculum training to the lesson plan. If you've never taught in the classroom or over webinar before, we're here to prepare you for both settings and to ensure you feel comfortable teaching your first class and every class afterward.

Some may not feel comfortable teaching our programming. We get it. But there's more to impacting individuals and communities than teaching; we also rely on volunteers to provide valuable support for special events, conferences, professional panels, fundraising campaigns, and guidance in our efforts to update our curricula. Get in touch and we'll match you to a way in which you can make an impact!
